Well I finally took the plunge and made a "Rag Bag: tote! I used 27 stitched scalloped squares to creat the bag. They are very quick to make and the cutting couldn't be easier! Just use the Big Shot to cut up to 8 layers of quilting cottons at one time and I cut 4 layers of batting at a time. So pass the die through the Big Shot twice and you have enough material and batting cut for 4 squares. Each square consists of an outside layer, batting, and lining. Here is a picture of the finished product:

This is a picture to the Stampin' Up! Exclusive Die which is used to make the rag bag purses/totes, as well as pin cushions, coasters, etc.  What can you make with this die?

I am working on a picture tutorial for my customers and hope to have that ready in a few weeks. I may have a class making the smaller version — Rag purse which uses only 19 squares. You can wash the purse/tote before use to get the "rag bag" effect, or do not wash and it will not have that softer raggy look.

HERE I used the die to cut this candy bar holder made from cardstock.

Did you know that you can cut many different materials with the Big Shot? Here is a list of 50 materials:
