Did you know the Big Shot can cut over 50 different materials? I was just playing around with the Big shot and aluminum sheets yesterday and decided to make a card with it. I hadn't used Stampin' Up!'s Crazy for Cupcakes set in a while so decided I would make a birthday card. Well after I stamped it and watercolored, I new the picture needed something more –something to contrast with that shiney aluminum! Well, I had just read last week about a technique Jackie Topa developed to look like fluff using Stampin' Up! products and knew I had to try it on this card. It is the cupcake "frosting". What do you think?
I think it is prettier in real life. I played with the lighting etc to try to make it show up better, however, could not get all the details to show (notice the dotted ribbon?).
Well I had fun and hope you enjoy it. I plan to put details on my downline training site soon and It just may be one of the projects at my next Big Shot class.
Beautiful! I love it. I thought I could see fluff there but wasn't sure. Would love to make this card at club sometime! Cheryl
I love this card! I will have to see it close up too, but looks so cute. What a great idea to use the aluminum foil too. It adds a lot to the card. I will check on the downline training site you do for us for details later. I will give this a try.
