Are you ready for some Halloween Fun? Well, since I have saved nearly all my original cards since I became a demonstrator over 6 years ago, I dug out my first Halloween set sampler. A set sampler is a group of different cards made with only one stamp set (I made 12 cards for this sampler). After pulling out these cards made with the Hey, Ghould Friend stamp set from the 2005 Holiday mini when I was a brand new demonstrator, I decided that the they needed an update.
Soooooooo I decide to remake these cards using the same template (card layout) and the new Howl-o-ween Creeps from the 2011-2012 Holiday mini. I tried to keep to similar colors if possible. I can't believe how much my stamping has changed as well as the materials available from Stampin' Up! I love the new set sampler (still have a few more to complete). I will be posting them all this week as I finish them. Here are the first 3 cards showing the old and the new. Sit back and have a few laughs!!

Well that's it for today. Hope you enjoyed seeing them. Come back for more Halloween cards this week.
Hope those of you here on the East Coast have been able to get back to stamping after cleaning up from the storm. I hope those who are still without power or been isolated by flooding rivers and collapsed bridges will soon get their lives back to normal. I was one of the lucky ones who did not lose power, even while those in surrounding areas did not fare as well. We had yard clean up to do, but that was about it.

Today's Technique is Emboss Resist and I used a catalog card from page 132 of Stampin' Up!'s 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog as the example for this technique. It is also one of the cards we created at my Catalog Kickoff Party this past weekend.

The technique is very simple: Stamp your design in Versamark and emboss with clear embossing powder. Then sponge different colors over the embossed image. Once that is done use a tissue or paper towel to take off the excess ink. On this card Naturals Ivory card stock was used. The butterfly was die cut with the Big Shot and Stampin' Up!'s Beautiful Butterflies Die, then embossed and sponged.
The supplies used for this card can be found on the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator website, as well as, the Customer website. If you are one of my customers, contact me and I will send you the supply list. If you attended my Catalog Kickoff Party, you already have the recipe and instructions! Enjoy!
