Watercolor Trio/Goodbye to 2010 Summer Mini!

Well another mini is saying goodbye – Stampin' Up!'s 2010 Summer Mini. While it is always hard to say goodbye, the 2010 Holiday Mini is spectacular! If you are one of my customers, then you have received it already and know what I mean. If you do not have a current demonstrator and would like me to be your Demonstrator, let me know and I will mail you a copy.

Now back to the Summer mini — if you did not order the Watercolor Trio stamp set or other items on your wish list, you only have 6 more days to do so. The Watercolor Trio is my favorite set in the 2010 Summer Mini. I took Shelli's challenge again and used Stampin' Up!'s Color Coach to choose the colors. If you don't have it yet, you NEED it! I chose 3 different color combinations to create these three cards. Watercolor Trio is a very versatile set as you can see by the cards below:

First combo – Poppy Parade, Not Quite Navy & Sahara Sand:

Butterfly Pansy and My Digital Studio Card Backgrounds

Continuing yesterday's blog post, I have more samples from my Hostess Appreciation party. Two more cards I made using My Digital Studio to create the background paper, then layered on card base and added ribbon and stamping. The blue card uses Thought & Prayers for the stamping and 1/4" Night of Navy Grosgrain ribbon and 3/8" white taffeta ribbon.

On the sympathy card below, I layered the digital image onto Chocolate Chip cardstock, then added the ribbon and layered it onto a Whisper White card base. I used the retired Close as a Memory to stamp "with heartfelt Sympathy".

Last is a simple card with a WOW factor: the pansy flower on the front. The original creator of the butterfly pansy is Tina Sieben and many other demonstrators have created their own version of the butterfly pansy flower. Mine uses the reinker technique. If you are one of my customers, please contact me and I will be glad to tell you how to create this flower. If you are not my customer, please contact your demonstrator, and she will show you how to do this technique. If you do not have a demonstrator, just choose me when placing a Stampin' Up! order.

Motorcycle Meets the Big Shot Masculine Card

I love how this card came together! I have been on a kick this past spring to make more masculine cards. The motorcycle, Red, White & Black, (one of my favorite color combinations), the Big Shot, and the Cog Punch make this card perfect. Enjoy!

Elements of Style on Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight Card

Here is a sneak peek using Stampin' Up!'s new core color Marina Mist. I love it paired with Certainly Celery and Daffodil Delight. I used the horizontal slot punch to create the hole for the ribbon to go around the card front. I sure am going to miss that punch in the catalog! (Of course I have mine and will still use it)

Birthday Bliss with Early Expresso on Pretty in Pink Card

A quick birthday card that is sure to please everyone, who doesn't like cake? I used Versamark to stamp the word square on the Pretty in Pink card base. I cut two strips 1 1/4" x 5 1/2" of Pixie Pink and ran one through the square Lattice folder and the other I punched with the Scallop Trim Border punch. These were layered under the 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" Early Expresso strip. Next, I knotted the Pretty in Pink Satin ribbon and attached it to the the Early Expresso strip, which I attached about 1/4" from the left side of card. Stamp your white piece (1 1/2" x 1 5/8") with Chocolate Chip and use blender pens to color. Layer this onto a 1 3/4" x 1 7/8" piece of Early Expresso and attach to card.
