Snow Snow Go Away and Don’t Come Back Another Day!

I have had enough of the white stuff for this winter. I woke up to 6" of new snow, just when I thought winter might be over and I would be seeing more signs of spring. I had one crocus that was in bloom and now it is buried. Oh well, I can get some exercise shoveling and then get a cup of coffee and go down to my craft room and stamp spring cards!

Keeping with thoughts of spring flowers, I am posting a display board from Leadership featuring the Sweet Summer Stamp set. You can get the Sweet Summer stamp set free during Sale-a-bration with a $50.00 net merchandise purchase, however, only 9 more days to take advantage of this freebie as Sale-a-bration ends March 31.

Here is a close up of two of my favorite cards on this display board:

Doesn't these remind you of spring? Well, that's it for today, I need to go out and shovel (notice I said need not want) then I can get busy stamping with the new Four Frames stamp set and Paisley Petals Designer Series paper. You can purchase these two items during the month of April unless you are a demonstrator, then you were able to buy them this month (just one of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator).  I love the Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper, I have made 9 cards already and plan to spend the afternoon stamping more. And, the Four Frames stamp set matches the Decorative Label punch!   Do you want a quick peek of one of the cards?  Click HERE

I have been working on a bunch of new classes and will be posting those shortly, I have e-mailed the flyer to my customers and will post the classes on my calendar this week. If you are one of my customers and did not receive it, contact me and I will send it out.  Have a great day!

Sending Springtime Smiles and Butterfly Kisses!

Last Friday I decided to recycle left over stamped and punched pieces into new cards. I will be showcasing them on my blog this week and all using the "Big Shot Kiss Technique".

Today's post uses Blossom punches left over from my Leadersip WOW swap cards. Click HERE to see the original card using the large blossoms and leaves. The butterflies were also left over from a peppermint patty basket also a Leadership swap.  This is my new card:

I glued all stamped, punched, and die cut pieces to the Very Vanilla Layer.  Then emboss the Very Vanilla piece using Stampin' Up!'s Square Lattice Textured Embossing Folder and the Big Shot. I love using the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder to "kiss" the images into the Very Vanilla cardstock. Some call this technique embedded embossing, I prefer to call it the Big Shot Kiss Technique!

Downline Meeting Cards: Imbedded Embossing and More!

Well, I have my pictures done and am back from vacation! I did not take pictures at my downline meeting (we were too busy stamping). So I now have finished the shoebox swaps cards brought by Carrie and Nancy (again I did mine after the meeting). This is Carrie Arsenault's shoebox swap:

Stampin' Up! Carrie Arsenault Embedded Embossing Square Lattice Folder Big Shot

Mine may be slightly different as I took the components and then made my card later. Carrie used the Flower Daisies #2 Die, Stampin' Up! Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Big Shot to create this card. The technique is embedded embossing, don't you love the effect?

The cards below are a case of a shoebox card brought by Nancy Muir (again I made my card the next day). I did not have the same stamps Nancy used on her card, so used something close. The first card uses the same colors used in Nancy's original card and the second adds more of my style to this technique: extra layer, the ribbon and punch.

Elements of Style on Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight Card

Here is a sneak peek using Stampin' Up!'s new core color Marina Mist. I love it paired with Certainly Celery and Daffodil Delight. I used the horizontal slot punch to create the hole for the ribbon to go around the card front. I sure am going to miss that punch in the catalog! (Of course I have mine and will still use it)
