Awash with Flowers Card by Carrie Arsenault

Here are more cards shared by my downline Carrie Arsenault at my Stampin' Up! downline meeting this month. Carrie's first card features Awash with Flowers and Well Scripted stamp sets.

Awash with Flowers, Shimmer Carrie Arsenault Stampin' Up!

Here is a close up of the detail. Carrie used shimmer paint mixed with alcohol in a spray bottle to give her card an an all over shimmer. The card is much prettier in real life, however, this picture gives you an idea of the effect.

Fresh Cuts Card

Again I never would have thought of using these colors together!  This card is fairly quick (unless you do not like coloring in the image with dusty durango!). I used a different ribbon treatment on this card as well. Hope you are having fun with this contest. This is the last contest card for this week and I will have two more cards with the remainder of the color combos next week.

Fresh Cuts Card #4, Blog Candy Contest, Stampin' Up!

Another clue:  As I only had 10 minutes, I found all 6 color schemes within the the first 25-30 pages at most and found more than one color scheme/picture per page.

Here are the contest details: When I was at the beauty salon last week I had about 10 minutes to look through a magazine. I saw a lot of different color combinations and, well I get my inspiration in a lot of places, so I thought these colors would make a nice card! So I started writing down the color combinations in the various pictures that looked like Stampin' Up! colors. Any colors in bold in the recipe above were in a single picture. I wrote down the name of the magazine and the month and about 6 different color combinations all in the same magazine. This weekend I made cards using those color combinations I wrote down. I have 4 cards done for this week and will have the other two ready to post next week. Your Challenge is find the magazine I looked at that has these color combinations! The first person to name the magazine and correct month/year will win the blog candy. I will give the blog candy away at the end of the month. If no one answers correctly, I will draw a name from everyone who posted a comment between April 13- April 30. Good Luck and don't forget to post a comment to be eligible for the blog candy. Good Luck and start looking at pictures/advertisments in magazines when out and about and you may win!!  NOTE: You are eligible to enter if you live in the continental United States only.  I will mail blog candy (it's a surprise!) to only US  addresses  that accepts Priority flat rate package.
