Backyard Basics – Think Spring!

Wow, I certainly have a lot of posting to catch up on!  I will be posting some of the projects I have done this past year in between my newer projects.  Today's post will feature Stampin' Up!'s Bacackyard Basics stamp set and Framelits.  These are the last three cards from a pre-buy class I did last summer.  I had previously posted a card using the crayon resist technique.  You can find that card by searching for Backyard Basics in my search box on the left had side bar.

Mother Nature has not been kind to us this winter – sub zero tempertures, freezing rain, rain, and snow – it is a roller coaster ride for sure. So these cards are a welcome change to the weather outside. Oh, did I mention we are bracing for another snow storm? The third or fourth in the last week, I have stopped counting.

The first card uses sponging to create the sky background for the tulips.  I hope the subtle sponging shows up in the picture.

The second  card is simple stamping using blender pens and ink pads to color in the flowers and leaves. I added the scoring to highlight the simple image.

Third and last card uses Stampin' Up!'s Honeycomb TIEF, the Big Shot and the bee from the Backyard Basics bundle.
