Happy 3rd Anniversary to the Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop

3rd Anniversary Celebration Banner

Wow, time does fly!  I was honored to be invited to join the Watercooler Blog Hop for it's 3rd Anniversary.  I was one of the original blog hoppers for that very first Watercooler Blog Hop and we are all back celebrating our three years of "hopping" together. We have all moved in different directions from that very first hop, however, one thing is consistent, our customers love seeing different styles of cards and projects which a blog hop provides.

My first project is an Anniversary card, using Stampin' Up!'s One Wild Ride stamp set and Banners for You stamp set.. This is my first time using this set and I loved how my idea for this card came together. Being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator can be "one wild ride", however, as the inside says "life's a journey enjoy the ride". So let us celebrate all demonstrators sharing their talent on blog hops.

My next project features one of the stamp sets that has survived since being introduced in 2013, Stampin' Up!'s Wetlands!  It is very vesatile and can be used for any type of card, I love it.  For this card I will give basic directions that you can use on most bendi (or bendy) cards.

Jeannine Tarrio Wetlands Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop

1.  Stamp background on 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" neutral cardstock.
2.  Sponge background to create sky, water, sand, etc.

3.  Using your background as a guide, decide and then stamp the foreground pieces that you will trim to create the 3-D scene.
4.  Sponge these pieces.
5.  Create your tab by using a ruler to draw a line 1/2" from the end opposite the 1/2" score line. Make sure the tab is tapered a little to make it easier to insert.  Erase pencil marks.
6.  Adhere side pieces to card back.

7.  Figure out how much bend you want on the middle piece, hold it in place and mark where your slit needs to be cut. Open up piece and cut slit and check size.  Remember you can always make the slit longer, you can't make it shorter.
8. Repeat with other piece marking where the slit will go on the bend of the middle piece and mark with pencil. Open and cut slit.

Jean, so glad you joined us!  I think my favorite is your One Wild Ride anniversary card with all the fabulous copper embossing.  Or maybe, it's the sweet Wetlands bendi card with all its detail.  Or maybe, well you get the idea – theyr'e all great!

Jean, I love that you used One Wild Ride. That's a stamp set that is on my wish list – and your card will be going into my CASE file. It's a perfect match with the Copper EP. So happy to have you be part of this Anniversary Blog Hop. This is such a wonderful group of people!

Really love the bendi card. It looks really hard to do, but you've done a fantastic job with it. Also I like the copper on the anniversary card.

Jean you've created three wonderful projects for this 3rd Anniversary celebration.  It's so great to have you join in.  Wow that Wild Ride is such a great card and I love how you've added in the Copper embossing.  Can't wait to get me a jar of that!  I love how you've incorporated the stamp sets into your Bendi card,  very creative and your CASE card is perfect!

Jean, it's been a while since you've stamped with us and, seeing your projects, I am reminded of your wonderful creativity.  That first project, the Anniversary card, gives the One Wild Ride set an elegance I had not guessed it could possess.  What a clever idea, to use those banners and all that gorgeous copper embossing (my new favourite embossing powder).  Your bendi Wetlands card—simply beautiful.  I have the instructions for the bendi  but have yet to make one.  Your card is pushing  me to make that fold my next project.

Jean, I love all 3 of your projects – but the anniversary card has to be my favourite!  The Copper embossing powder really makes this card a 'wow'.  I like how you cut around the bird shapes for the 'bendy' parts of the bendy card, and your CASE card is adorable! I'm so glad that you were able to join us again, for this special 3rd anniversary hop.

Jean, I'm so glad you joined the hop and shared your beautiful cards.  I just pulled the Wild Ride set out yesterday to use for the first time.  You have inspired me to try the copper embossing powder with it.  I haven't tried the bendie card yet, and again inspire me to do so.  What a sweet CASE!
