Does anyone remember the song Butterfly Kisses? Well, when I created my butterfly wishes card for my May clubs, the first thing that came to mind, was the song Butterfly Kisses. It also reminds me of spring, something I definitely want to see after our long, cold, snowy New England winter!!!
Happy spring everyone.
I love it when I see a card and it uses the stamp in a way I didn't even think of. In this case the stamp set is Stampin' Up!'s What's Your Type? I purchased it to use on scrapbook pages and thought most of the stamps were too big for cards. Well, Mary Brown's card inspired my card below:
What’s Your Type?
I used the samp shapes and basic layout, however, I changed the colors and added the embellishment.
Stamps: What's Your Type, Sassy Salutations
Cardstock: Rose Red, Whisper White
Ink: Rose Red, Marina Mist, Soft Suede
Accessories: Basic Hodgepodge Clips #133765, ArtisanEmbellishment Kit #137909
Check out the What's Your Type? stamp set on page 160 and 161 in the 2014-2015 catalog. This is another of my April workshop cards.
You could use the accordian card to make a mini album, however, I cut up the accordian card and made 4 gift/note cards and enclosed them in the box with an embelishment for the top flap. I used the Bokeh technique on one of the cards.

More from my Painted Petals Class. This was based on the card Stampin' Up! created on page 18 of the Occasions Catalog. I used the triple line stamp from the Painted Petals staamp set to create the background as Stampin' Up! did on their card. Them I made it my own as shown below:
Stamps: Painted Petals
Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky, Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White,
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky; Markers: Wild Wasabi, Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals, Blackberry Bliss 3/8" Satin Ribbon, Painted Blooms Cotton Twine, Basic Hodgepodge Clips
Two more cards from my Stampin' Up! Painted Blooms class.
I used the Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the Blackberry Bliss strip near the top and Sassy Salutations for the sentiment. I also cut this piece of designer paper to 3 3/4" x 5".
and Card 4:
I used the sentiment from Petite Pairs for the saying and a strip of paper from Stampin' Up!'s Adventure Bound Designer Series paper Stack (pg 46 #138878 Occasions Catalog). I love how the paper reminderd me of flowers in a brick container or behind a brickwall and a positive message of time passes and heals.
Hope you are enjoying see what I did with sheet of paper and remember you get 2 sheets of this print in your paper pack.
It was a small meeting last Sunday, February 8th, another snowstorm and it keeps on snowing every two or three days. Luckily today, we seemed to have missed a big blizzard. Yahoo!
This swap was made by Pat Greenlaw. I love the simplicity of this card and the flower bling.
Next is a card created by Heather Turner using Stampin' Up!'s Painted Petals stamp set. I love how she created a background using two of the stamps.
Carrie Arsenault cased a card from Pinterest for her shoebox swap. I love the bright colors and bling.
This swap was made by Dallas Wilkins using Peaceful Petals (retired) you could substitute Mother's Love from the 2015 Occasins Catalog.
Last is my swap using a free Sale-a-bration item – Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Tired of the snow? Check out the details on my calendar for my Painted Blooms class next Saturday, February 7th at 9am.
