Another Simple, Quick, and Easy Card

I used Stampin' Up!'s English Garden Designer Series Paper and the tear and flip method to create the background.  Simply take a piece of Designer Series Paper and tear it across about 2/3's of the way down and simply flip the bottom 1/3 piece over and glue to Crumb Cake cardstock base. Stamp and punch your sentiment and layer on another punched piece of cardstock and adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Tie a ribbon around front of card and you are done.

Now in case you are wondering how I tied the ribbon to the front without tying the card closed, look closely at the left hand side.  I used the flower punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack to create a small slot in the folded side of the card to thread my ribbon through to the front side.  If you look at the Itty Bitty flower punch, you will see one of the petal ends is pretty square and that is the one I used to create the slot.

Below are some of the cards made with friends last month using this technique and Carol showed us how to make flowers using Stampin; Up!'s new cotton paper:

Butterfly Kisses – Sending Wishes Your Way

Does anyone remember the song Butterfly Kisses?  Well, when I created my butterfly wishes card for my May clubs, the first thing that came to mind, was the song Butterfly Kisses. It also reminds me of spring, something I definitely want to see after our long, cold, snowy New England winter!!!

What’s Your Type?

I love it when I see a card and it uses the stamp in a way I didn't even think of.  In this case the stamp set is Stampin' Up!'s  What's Your Type? I purchased it to use on scrapbook pages and thought most of the stamps were too big for cards. Well, Mary Brown's  card inspired my card below:

What’s Your Type?

I used the samp shapes and basic layout, however, I changed the colors and added the embellishment.
Stamps:  What's Your Type, Sassy Salutations
Cardstock:  Rose Red, Whisper White
Ink:  Rose Red, Marina Mist, Soft Suede
Accessories:  Basic Hodgepodge Clips #133765, ArtisanEmbellishment Kit #137909

Check  out the What's Your Type? stamp set on page 160 and 161 in the 2014-2015 catalog. This is another of my April workshop cards.

Another Paper Pumpkin Idea!

You could use the accordian card to make a mini album, however, I cut up the accordian card and made 4 gift/note cards and enclosed them in the box with an embelishment for the top flap. I used the Bokeh technique on one of the cards.
