Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper and Friendship Preserves thank you:
See you soon!
I don’t know about you, but I always have trouble coming up with a lot of masculine card ideas. Below is a swap card I received from Allison Okamitsu and I just loved it!
1. Emboss Early Expresso CS with Argyle folder and adhere to Vanilla card.
2. Stamp greeting from Best Dad Ever on River Rock strip with Early Expresso ink. Cut banner end on one end and set aside.
3. Stamp background in River Rock and Early Expresso on Vanilla rectangle.
4. Stamp watch case in Versamark on same piece and emboss with Gold EP.
5. On Vanilla scrap stamp clock face and hands. Sponge a little shimmer paint (stamp off) over clock face.
6. Punch out clock face with 1 ¼” circle and glue to watch case.
7. Glue Vanilla piece to card.
8. Attach banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Today, I am posting 3 cards that my hostesses made at my hostess appreciation and club parties this past month. Check out the new designer paper from Stampin' Up!'s 2012 catalog. This year's papers are very versatile and can be used for many occasions. I used Floral District Designer Series Paper on the card with Betsy's Blossoms.

CCREW0412HF – Holiday Focus – remember Mom and Dad. We could make a card, a scrapbook page or decor item that honors Mom or Dad or both, continuing to use the 2010-2012 In Colors as our main colors. Since all my other Creative Crew projects this month have incorporated flowers, I decided to make this quick and easy Father's Day card.
Stamps: Delightful Dozen, On the Green (retired)
Card stock: Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Ink: Concord Crush stamp pad, Garden Green Stamp Pad, Peach Parfait Marker,
Accessories: Extra Large Oval Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, sponges
Come back tomorrow for my last Creative Crew project for April — a mini album you won't want to miss.
For Splitcoaststampers Creative Crew CF (Catalog Focus) challenge this month, we were asked to focus on page 216 of Stampin' Up's Catalog & Idea Book and use either the cork, magnet, On Board , wood, or window sheets. i chose the wood sheets as I had never used them before and figured it would definitely be a challenge for me to use them.
I made a card and matching bookmark for Dad or any masculine birthday. You could easily change this to a Father's Day card and gift.
Stamps: Packed for Dad, Bring On the Cake
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy
Ink: Early Expresso, Not Quite Navt, Cajun Craze
Accessories: 5/8" Early Expresso Satin Ribbon, Antique Brads, Wood Sheets, Big Shot, Two Tags die, Linen Thread
If you would like to play along or check out the other great projects for this challenge, just go to Splitcoaststampers and search the gallery using the word CreativeCrew or CCREW0312CF.
Best Dad Ever says it all on this Father's Day Card. Need a card for your granddad? Just use the "grand" stamp from Wonderful Favorites #115114 (on the last chance list) to stamp the word "grand" above the word DAD to change the greeting!
And a birthday card using the same stamp set from Stampin' Up! – The Open Sea and Best Dad Ever. I used the One Sheet Wonder technique to create my own "wallpaper" for the side pieces.
Do you need another reason to buy this set? Well, check out the census image stamp in this set! Wouldn't it look great on scrapbook pages in a heritage album, on a card for the family genealogist or for a history buff?
