SCS Creative Crew February Challenge – Rosette “Wreath”

The last Creative Crew Challenge for February that I completed was for the Holiday Focus: What holiday do you love the most?  (Easy for me – Christmas!!) What's your favorite accessory? (Not so easy – I like them all!!!  So, I decided on what I use the most and chose Designer Series Paper the close second was the Big Shot which is really a tool not an accessory per se).Combine the two in a project.    Well, my mind kept going in different directions for ideas and I finally went back to the first – Christmas and Designer Series Paper.

Rose Gift Box for Valentine’s Day!

I created this box to hold a Valentine's Day gift of chocolate.  Who doesn't like chocolate!!!  I cased the box idea from Stampin' Connection.  I don't know who the original creator is, so if anyone knows who first created this flower please let me know and I will give them credit.

The flower petals were made with the ornament punch. I used somewhere between 34-40 petals the outside bottom row contains about 14 petals and there about 4 rows before the 3 center petals (which I curled around a pencil).  I used the 2 3/8 scallop circle for the base to attach the petals.  The box is 3" H x 2 1/2" W x 1 1/2" D. The front and back used the Scallop Circle Die which I trimmed at the bottom to be even with the box. I used the Build-a-Blossom punch for the leaves.  You will need study adhesive to hold the flower together – ask me how I know :) !

It took a little time, however, the end result was worth it.

Cat Lovers Christmas Card

This card was inspired by a Leadership swap card I received last year, however, I liked the cat face and wanted to create a Christmas card with it.  Here is the result:

This was one of my workshop cards in November. Did you check out the wall and the picture frame closely?  Now I know why the cat has this look on her/his face. Inside the card it says:  as every cat owner knows, nobody owns a cat. –Ellen Perry Berkeley

Candy Cane Elves and Angel Kisses

I am going to try to catch up on a lot of projects I created for my clubs, workshops, and classes this fall.  The following punch art were for two of my December club projects.  Inspiration for these came from Stampin' Connection, a Stampin' Up! website for demonstrators only to share ideas with each other.

First is this cute elf candy cane holder:

Second is a cute treat holder called Angel Kisses that I cased from Janet Wakeland.  It could be given to someone special any time of the year not just for Christmas.
